The District of Columbia is suing StubHub for deceptive business practices over the resale sites hidden fees.

In its own statement, StubHub maintained it was following the law.

The lawsuit charges StubHub with two violations of D.C.s Consumer Protection Procedures Act.

The site first shows an allegedly deceptive price of $178 each for two 400-level tickets.

The lawsuit counted ten screens between selecting the tickets and seeing the fees.

StubHub intentionally hides the true price to boost profits at its customers expense, Schwalb said.

That is why today were suing to end StubHubs exploitative pricing scheme.

The lawsuit followsa Biden-administration crackdown on junk fees, including in tickets.
