This design is already familiar to those who use Android smartphones or other Google services.
While the announcement was made in September, the rollout of these design updates was gradual.
you’ve got the option to revert it using flags in Chrome.

you might access these flags by typing a special URL into your browsers address bar.
Besides changing the design back, there are many other interesting options, such as enabling Force Dark Mode.
If you want to return to the old design, shut down the Chrome Refresh 2023 flag.
That said, I personally recommend adapting to the new Google Chrome design.
Google will likely eventually remove this flag in a future update, rendering this workaround obsolete.
