Meta finally added the option to edit sent messages on Instagram.
Both you and the recipient will see an Edited label over the message.
Of course, the other person cant see the original message you edited.

Ive tested this feature, and yeah, its really handy.
But confirm your Instagram app is updated, or you wont have access to this new feature.

As youve understood, messages sent over 15 minutes ago cannot be edited.
Also, messages with mentions or slash commands cant be edited; the Edit button wont appear for these.
However, you could unsend them:
After unsending, the message disappears without any notifications.
Then, you’re free to just send a new one.
