I tried to warn you, is the message scrawled on a dead Virginia Hardings bathroom mirror.
If you dont remember that far back, dont beat yourself up.
This season ofAmerican Horror Storypremiered in September six episodes and 8,000 years ago.
She later dies in the hospital; so far, so gory.
At this point inDelicate, the unexplained recurrence of a vaguely witchy woman barely kicks up surprise.
Dexs latest art-world rock star, Sonia, is the spitting image of his dead wife, Adeline.
Ivy is a gallery internandan obstetrics nurseandalways hanging around Annas Brooklyn Heights apartment.
At its most frustrating,Delicateis all sizzle, no stakes.
Because Hollywood loves a gunner, unless its Bradley Cooper.
Its one of the last safe havens for earnest, heart-on-your-sleeve striving.
This time its Siobhan pulling Annas strings, though to what end the show has given us little hint.
Does Siobhans own deal with the devil somehow depend on Anna winning an Oscar?
What does she know of the coven thats been hounding her friend all over the South Fork?
Either way, Kim Kardashian looks sensational in that purple-black lipstick.
Like much ofDelicate, this drips with spooky symbolism and yet, somehow, zero actual meaning.
What does it mean?
At this point, the series is dropping clues faster than I can make sense of its characters actions.
For example, Anna rightly mistrusts Nicolette and frequently lashes out at her.
Its hard to keep up with who Annas daddy is when shes ricocheting around the world ofDelicatethis fast.
(Why does he retract it?
What does it mean?
To protect Satans spawn?
Or Dexs already faltering opinion of his wifes sanity?)
Dex, meanwhile, is preoccupied with his own daddy issues.
Like a good wife, she hides her mauled stomach under a satin dress to support Dex.
Everyone whos anyone who hates Anna is in attendance.
Do I buy Talias defense that she finds Anna too boring to torment?
I guess it doesnt serve to ask, Why, what does it mean?
Because it turns out shes not really dead or even in the room.
I wish I could resist asking, but Im too weak: WHY, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Sonia, though, greets Anna warmly.
At least in Annas minds eye, the women all stand in the same uniform of spiky green stilettos.
Is it not that they hate her at all, but worship her?
Annas just another one of Siobhans pinballs.
Go ahead and tell them … what exactly?
Who would care and what would it change?
Which brings the episodes body count from one to two.
I tried to warn you, reads the message on the mirror.
But what kind of message is it?
A suicide note, which might suggest that Virginia broke into her own sons apartment in episode one?
Or was it a threat, delivered by whoever came for Anna?
Was she killed or did she kill herself?
And what does it all mean for an Oscar hopeful with really bad skin?
If only she knew it.
